Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson allegedly refused to follow Jurgen Klopp’s orders during the Reds’ 3-0 defeat in Barcelona.Klopp’s side face an uphill battle in next week’s Champions League semi-final second leg after losing at Camp Nou, with Lionel Messi’s late brace all but putting the tie beyond them.2

Liverpool had late chances to score an away goal which could have proven vital in their bid to overcome Barca and reach the European Cup final, but Roberto Firmino had a strike cleared off the line before Mohamed Salah struck the post with the rebound.And, allegedly, Klopp was so keen on his side finding the back of the net at Camp Nou he actually ordered goalkeeper Alisson to go up for a late corner.The glovesman refused to do so, however, as Anfield hero Steve McManaman spotted in his role as BT Sport co-commentator.“Jurgens pointing at Alisson to get in the box as well, and Alisson just said no to him!” McManaman said on the incident, which was not caught on television cameras.2

Alisson did eventually go up for the corner, only to retreat – this time on Salah’s orders.“Now hes going,” McManaman later added. “Hes been told no again. Salah said no to him this time.”
