Mike Ashley wants to sell Newcastle for a reported 350million

The Mirror report that the Abu Dhabi based group have their own managerial targets, with Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger top of the list.Benitezs current contract with the Magpies runs out at the end of this month and talks with Ashley over a new deal are understood to have been put on hold while the takeover discussions are going on. The 59-year-old took over as manager in March 2016 but could not stop them from getting relegated.He took them back up to the Premier League the next season by winning the Championship and has guided them to safety in the last two seasons.
